After eight years proving in the most exacting medical environment we are offering a bespoke scheduling system for an off-the-shelf price. Designed for Pub Chains,
Fast Food Outlets, Hotels, Supermarkets, etc. It has many of the features of the full Rota Track employee rota an automated system that performs over a million calculations in
planning a rota and rostering, whilst conforming to the EWTD. All of our rota systems deliver time and attendance records & output to Excel.
Users can be set-up according to corporate needs with central control but will be able to customise at branch level. Businesses can manage all activities and
changes for themselves for maximum productivity but should customisation be necessary we are happy to help. Employee planning is eased with a ‘project ahead’ feature as is
time and attendance & working time directives.
Diary Driven: At the heart of the system is a powerful diary facilitating away bookings as well as departmental events. Manning levels
can be controlled by assigning staff to one or more away groups with minimum levels fixed. A traffic light system advises on the feasibility with reasons. When assigning a rota the
diary ‘events’ are taken into account as you would expect with any scheduling. The basic
version also works as a diary linking to a corporate system.

Rolling Shifts: Users can set-up Resource Manager to handle rostering over one to thirteen weeks reflecting the overlapping and
specialist duties & shifts (or On Call scheduling) demanded in this type of work-place.
Stand-alone, Client/server or Browser: Resource Manager is provided as a stand-alone system, Client/server or web based solution. Users
can access all data via formats such as SQL, Crystal Reports, ODBC, or Excel to link to other systems. Checking an individuals commitments - the top shows a
roster for a weeks duties the bottom shows a weeks duties of the person highlighted in red.
Shown here is a ‘Pub/food’ environment. A manager is available during peak hours & qualified kitchen staff are allocated together with waiters. This
example covers a staff roster for 38 staff.
Trials prove RotaTrack efficiencies at £150,000+
Meanwhile, RotaTrack has been utilised at a major Australian Teaching Hospital which successfully trialed the product over a three year period. During this time
they were able to project the effects of increasing service provision with and without increases in staffing levels in Anaesthetics. Areas analysed included service, teaching,
supervision, & hours worked. This has enabled a controlled migration to a new service profile maintaining the required teaching. It has also ensured huge cost savings in excess of

Database Publishing
Studiobox have written the following database publishing software: EasyBoxes (Autos and Real Estate), Instad (In-store Artwork generation).
Major supermarkets use Instad Our retailing solutions include a Point of Sale System and a Ticketing System used by many leading
retailers in the UK. Homebase, Safeway, Sainsbury’s and the Co-op have all bought systems. By checking calculations
(discounts) and auto flowing existing data and pictures into templates and auto-formatting productivity is increased.
For multiple chains we can set up a system centrally, help run it - or even run it for them!
Each outlet fills in a web based diary of absences, which is run-in to appropriate templates.
An Excel example of the impact of shift pattern recognition, handling the allocation of complex shift patterns fairly and
uniformly. This example handles 12 x 24 hour shifts (32 staff and 21 duties per day). Note the fortnightly averages and details of hours worked. The
brown boxes show where an hours limit would exceed working time directives .

The Royal Derby Hospital is a large new 1000 bed acute hospital with 35 operating theatres. It also accommodates a Graduate Entry Medical School run with the
University of Nottingham.
